Yess... yess.. the 50% discount promo price was $338, got another 20% discount for Isetan members (during their members' promo sale) and another 5% for the Isetan card rebate. So, in the end, the selling price after all the discounts was $257. Really a good deal
Hi schweppes,schweppes:
Got mine at Isetan about 1 month ago - it was selling at $338 after 50% discount (and during the Istan promo, there was another 20% discount for members' promo). Find that it's better deal than Robinsons members' sale. The el cheapo me got some Isetan vouchers, so in the end, I think I only paid $100 for my casserole dish. :dancing:
Cooked coq au vin (chicken in white wine) last nite. Yumz
you mean on top of $338, you got another 20% discount?
that is a very good deal!
I am also interested to get the 29cm, but was put off by the price...
Agree that the original selling price was a turn-off  but with the discounts and my vouchers... just cd not resist. Decided to succumb to temptation
Uh... i also justify that it wd last a lifetime and felt less guilty after that. Ya.. right!!

Hi schweppes,
Went down to Robinsons today to see & feel the LC pans. They certainly look pretty ...did u notice those small masak masak looking ones?
You're right, the 18 cm is too small - not even a spring chicken could be put inside... The 29 cm looks ideal, not that big. Weight wise, I'm ok with it.
I didn't get one today .... have splurged on somethings on myself . BUT will definitely keep this pan as one of the things in my Kitchen Wishlist.

haha... know what u mean, like the cute cute, masak masak pots too. Anyway, u just reminded me, for the Isetan promo, those who bought the 29cm dish also received a free cocotte mini dish. So quite a good lobang that time. GSS coming soon, so maybe more good deals coming.Hi schweppes,

aiyoh... far from it....
Notice how I never contribute to the \"how to cook nice meals\" thread or the \"one dish meal\" thread. there are so many better cooks than me. :salute:
I always   over Angmum, Funz and Maid's cooking pix. Only can enjoy virtual suppers as unable to cook the real thing :slapshead: -

I have been using LC for years and have collected quite a few pieces. Few things to note about LC.
1. It gives u life time warranty. So as long as the pot is used properly, not drop from heights or hard knocks, the company actually replaced it.
2. After some usage, sometimes one may experiences black charred spots that cannot be removed with normal detergent. LC cleaner can clear up all resistant spots.
3. It is not a non stick pan/pot but it is stick resistant. Meaning if heated well enough and used often, it actually doesnβt stick like WMF stainless pots.
4. It retains heat really well, so if u are not planning to eat the dish immediately, need to take note of food that cook easily like green vege, prawns, sotong⦠will end up with withered greens and tough seafood.
5. The knob on the pots are not on warranty. If placed too near the heating element in the oven, it may crack but can be easily replaced.
6. No rust and wash up easily.
7. Can be passed down for generations. Many Europeans actually inherited LC pots from their grandparents.
8. Has re-sale value. There are always people looking out for old LC pots. Esp expats in SG.
9. Do note their cute cute pieces are not cast iron and therefore cannot be put on top of the stove. I do not recommend them as i feel they are over hyped and over priced.
Just my tots abt LC. -
