It is under the “Malaysia My Second Home” MM2H program.

It is pretty straightforward....
One can apply under the 10 yrs Visit Pass and u need not to give up yr own citizenship.
You are not required to have compulsory investments or purchase of a hse.
You can migrate to Malaysia with your spouse and children who are below 21 years old (unmarried).
A sum of few thousand dollars (the other time I was told ard S$3,000 )
is required for the initial lawyer fees and agent fees who process yr application.

So much $$

maintaining a FD bal of RM 100,000 after 1 yr, is not a big sum of money,
that is equivalent to S$ of less than 50K.
(it is considered as low, compared to some other countries' retirement scheme which requires finiancial investments)

one would def need much more than that sum of money if u are talking abt retirement, esp in Singapore.

Think will probably go for long term visa (spouse visa)... cheaper. Since both visa for MM2H program and spouse visa also need to renew... The program every 10years while spouse visa every few months.

I don't wish to bring so much $$ to and fro, very \"dangerous\". Plus no money...

Next time want to go JB old folks home, have to prepare RM150,000 so no need wheelchair/walking sticks in and out of Singapore and JB for another 10 years. But then I think if got this much RM150,000, why want to go old folk home in JB :?


If no such amount, prepare wheelchair/walking stick as need to go in and out of JB every few months...

This is another thorny issue; we worked so hard for almost our whole life; we spent the bulk of our cpf on a roof overhead. We dont know when we can smell our remaining cpf, hopefully we are long-lived to touch it, else it is meant for our future generation.
