By the looks of it, people going for Rulang may be in for a wild ride with 71% average deviation!
:!: 71% The numbers are really nerve-wrecking! That's why I think unless I can get into Phase 2B for Rulang otherwise won't go for its Phase 2C.. never had this type of luck! -

Thanks again RRMummy. :salute:
You are most welcome! So what's your backup plan? -
you guys are lucky.still can go for phase 2B.i only have the last choice.somemore low chance.if deviation is 71%,what are my chances?29%.haiz
-
Wow Rulang Primary is the most hottest school, seem like chances to get in like 25%.
Maybe those can start planning to head other school instead of facing the heat again in Phase 2C Supplementary. -
Does it mean that chances to get in Rulang is slim even we stay within 1km?
-
yes, cathycho.Rulang always have balloting within 1km.i just pray that not many people within 1km.no chance for those more than 1km at all and low chance for those within 2km.very high risk.
-
Will they reveal how many applicants within 1 km say, if i reqister on the last day? Anyone knows?
Still thinkg hard to go for Rulang or Shuqun? How’s is Shuqun? -

If we use standard deviation (not average deviation as indicated above) and the data found http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/2010-p1-registration-phase-2c, assuming normal distribution, there is a:
68% likelihood that the APP for Rulang will be between 205% - 389%. The standard deviation is really too wide to make anymore definite predicton. Its TUR in Phase 2B this year is also higher than average, leaving less places for Phase 2C than normal. I would estimate a 1 in 3 chance for people trying for Rulang in Phase 2C.
If you are outside of 1km Rulang, it is extremely unlikely you even get a chance to ballot in Phase 2C. Better to spend your time researching something else. -
this year the APP rate by Phase 2B is higher because they reduce the number from last year 330 places to 300 places this year.but in terms of headcount,it is the same.
As Rulang is nearer to my home and MRT so that i can travel to and from office ,i have no choice but to go for it since there is balloting for less than 1Km. -

Looks like you have made up your mind.
