Any Recommendation of a Good Maid Agency

Oh.. what i'm asking is... are they responsible? i.e. responsive when you ask them for help, and patient in showing bios?

I've encountered ones whereby they kinda rush you thru bios... or my current maid's agent, who is useless in telling my maid to wake up and buck up... he simply didnt care since its a done deal already! blacklisted this agency ever since!

If you want a maid agency that is very pro-employer, try NATIONS. I got my 2 Indo. maids from there and so far OK, no need to change!

I have witness a few times the scoldings they will get if employer complain or bring them back to the agency. The scoldings were TERRIBLE. And they will help you to change maids. Also couple of times I was desperate to get maid but if their transfer maids were no good ie. stealing, very bad attitude problems etc...they refuse to transfer to me no matter how urgent I told them I needed a maid.

That is if you don't mind paying new maids SGD450 and also agency fees not the cheapest around. You can go search NATIONS website for the bios and then call them up if you are interested.

As for training, it is best not to take brand new maids, go for experienced maid so you don't need to do much training. Experienced maid means got to pay more though....

I will check them out... although I faintly recall that my hub said his fren had a bad experience with them... nonetheless, I'm keeping my options open... if the profile that they have happen to be good, that is good enough already! Interviewed 2 candidates yday, and both can't converse in english... not even basic... haizzzz

Hies … i would also like recommendation or feedback on employing a Indonesian helper… Plus are there agencies which accept post-dated cheques… most agencies whom i contact seem to have done away with tht practice and require clients to use their credit cards… which i do not have… any idea abt agencies who are ok with pd cheques…?

My maid is going off at the end of Sep 2011. She used to be working for my mil and was transferred to me when my boy was born. Hence, I don’t have any experience in looking for a maid from a maid agency. As I stayed in Simei, I am looking for a maid agency in singapore (for convenience) to find a new maid. If anyone has positive experience in any maid agency in the east, please let me know. Thanks.

I was planning to replace my maid of 6 months and went back to my maid agency, only to find out that they have closed down and it’s a completely different owner.


Does anyone had similar experience or can advice me what to do? I would imagine most agency does not want to pick up another agent’s problem.

I contemplated on keeping my maid and try to ignore the existing problems but it re-surface every now and then. Am really quite tired. If I transfer her to another family, what will happen to her loan since she hasn’t finished paying?

Just wanna share with you about this agency "Global Recruit & Elevation Centre Pte Ltd" at Peninsula. Do not take any maid from this agency. They’re very dishonest about their maid’s employment history ! I recently confirmed 1 ex-sg maid from them claiming that she has worked in SG 2 yrs with 1 employer but was shocked to find out that she has changed 7 employers instead ! I quickly called the agency to cancel her permit before she arrived SG. I did not take any maid from them after that as there was no bio data suitable. They refused to refund my agency fees claiming it’s not their fault. Am angry that the agency is not truthful and the maid is back to SG to work again and by the same agency as well !

I think most of the maid agency tell like that.cos they tell the truth nobody hire the maid then how they do earn?I had same experience with my ex-maid.The agent said she had been worrking 2 years under one employer.After we hire only we got to know that we went through her passport.The agents support to maids thats why we owners suffer by maids.If they choose correct people and train proper attitude to them then we can reduse our stress.I don't know if the owners treat them well also they don't want to work for the owners.They want to cheat the employers.The agency name is \"Smart maid Agency\".

I think this case can complain to MOM because the agency can verify by checking on the maid's employment history before advising the client what to do.

heard of cases the maid just did not return, wasted trip to airport, wasted reaction time to source for new one.
