Can you share how much you pay for private tuition for upper primary kids ?

Anyone has experience with full time private tutor providing small group tuition (4 - 5) for 1 subject (Maths) ? How much do you pay ?

Assuming no experience, one to one tuition for a primary level student. Tutors with more experience/popularity will charge more. Higher academic levels will be charged more as well.

University Undergrad
S$18-30/hour

Ex-school Teacher/NIE Trained
S$30-45/hour

How to findout weather the teacher is areal Ex-school Teacher/NIE Trained?

Just ask them to show you their NIE certificate lah…I am sure there is one:)

Mostly just accept what the tutor tells you, and you can always ask to see the certificates.


Anyway, that is the market rate. Some tutors who are more experienced or have achieved success with their students will usually command a higher premium.
