      phtthp:
how to prevent maids from getting involved with B workers ?

the papers reported that it is very common for maids and FW to fall for each other partly bec they want company/lust/loneliness and they can confide to each other about their boss/work etc when boy-meets girl, sparks fly high even though they may be married back home

1 good thing that come out of this tragedy is that: now we know that there are lapses in the security of water tanks and the TC are expected to follow up on security measures immediately

i think they choose water tank highest spot, because it offers all the privacy up there. Some more is free, instead of going to a hotel room …

besides, who will ever think of doing it up at the water tank area ? Residents staying in the block so many years never even go up there before.

imagine, if you are the B worker and you want to do it with the maid (his girl friend) not once, but a few times … what will you do with the key ? surely you not going to alert your boss, each time you need the key ? what will you do ? you can … secretly duplicate the key, without the boss even being aware. Scary! Foreign workers holding secret key with foreign maids, go up water tank area … to do shady, hanky panky stuff.

now, how is Town council security forces going to prevent this … the secret duplication of key, possibly held by foreign workers? Yes, the boss may hold the main key. But duplicate key ?

worse, if any terrorists or bad people know of this foreign worker holding duplicate key, they can ask / pay him to … In fact, this female corpse incident has blown up to become a very, very crucial, National Security issue of Topmost scrutiny. There are so many thousands of HDB flats in SG!

think town council should try to get some priests, monk or pastor to come and bless the whole Woodlands block… in case haunted, to appease her soul.

how did she die ? the position of her body ? was her body floating inside the water, to prevent rotting ? or was her body placed merely on the floor, never touch the water at all ?

              CJS:

You never know whether it was contaminated for only 4 hours. How about instances when the maid and B worker hanky panky at the roof ? Don't they use water after their affairs ? How long have they been contaminating the water ? It sends shivers down my spine thinking of the supposedly better than world standard water quality that block has been using.
They can bath or swim inside..

In any case, the TC and contractors should be held accountable for failure to prevent misuse of the access to the watertanks.

Last time, there was a case where a guard on DUTY took out an M16 from MHC.

The CSM was charged bcoz he was in charge of the guardroom & security even thou he has nothing to do with the incident, and you can't really do anything to prevent a personnel on duty to just walk out with the weapon in hands openly, should they decide to do so.

Based on same principle, the TC and contractor should be charged bcoz they have possession of the keys and they failed to safeguard against unauthorised usage of the keys and against unauthorised access to the watertanks.

Saw on the news a youtube clip showing the MP drinking tap water from one of the units. Seems like nowadays MP ‘pai zo’ - have to be garang and try the water to show there is nothing to fear.

what to do? must always 'console' & 'persuade' the residents.
then go home, hide & cry \" nang pai zo ar..... xiang kio wa nan si MP \" (人难做呀,谁叫我们是MP)

                    :siam:

I think it’s commendable that they are a lot more visible when things go wrong. Could have stayed hidden and pretend dunno. I don’t see the head of town council doing the same leh…want, everybody all gan pei. I only see the MP.

Maybe it’s news - they only show the good bits; but I like to see it. Not that I want to experience this, but honestly, I wonder if MY MP will do the same…fyi, mine constituency was strucky by lightning in the last election.
