for me, i prefer send my girl learn from SBA. No matter what, SBA is a professional school for ballerinas. $171.20 (11 weeks) school fees per Term is reasonable.


community centres, depends. Some ballet teachers are very good, some passable. The standard may vary.

for girls who have not yet reached 4 yrs old, they can still learn 'Bebe ballet' at Crestar, or at 'Dance Arts'. Learn one year first to have some basic ballet background foundation also good !

here is pre-school ballet at 'Dance Arts'. Dance Arts is starting new class for pre-schoolers next Sunday, 29 May 2011. Time is 1.30 pm. 'Dance Arts' school fees per Term (12 weeks) is very reasonable! You may bring your child down for a trial. DD now is having lesson at Chong Pang CC....as Yishun South CC doesn't have class higher than Grade 5.

SBA does RAD syllabus. DSA for ballet usually requires min RAD Grade 5 or equivalent, but RAD is most recognized.

SBA is one of the oldest ballet centres in Singapore. It is well-established and the teachers are good and there are opportunities for performances and if you're really good, opportunities for performing with SDT.

At the CCs, some teach RAD, others CSTD. Each centre's proficiency is dependent on the teacher. Some CCs are very good and constantly turn out high scorers who even win full scholarships to RAD's UK summer school.
