      Hi Plum-Cake,
Migraine is a very terrible thing and I hate it esp when it hit me very badly :frustrated:  😒 ..Now better after visiting to the GP and he prescribe the pain killer for me :boogie: :dancing:

No fret - I believe you have already done your best with your P2 girl :celebrate: :snuggles: Maybe due to the paper is set a higher standard?

OK, I was surfing the Learners Publishing webpage and :yikes: they have many books on Comprehension and one of them is the one you mentioned\"Comprehension strategies by learners\" πŸ˜„

I have short-list the following few and will go Popular take a look this coming weekend πŸ†’ Also, looking into this one (although personally I don't really like Casco Publication) but has to make a comparison and see how it is πŸ˜‰ Really appreciates many parents who always come forwards to share and encourage each other :lovesite: :grphug:
Thanks... It's good to hear that you are getting well πŸ˜„

I have the one I mentioned as wellas graphic stimu. and reading comprehention by leaners with another cover  ...but I dont have the others. casco I have the pass english....

      Thanks for sharing.

Never fancy Casco publication. I'm a fan of SAP, Learners and EPH. Kind mummies :hugs: have recommended doing past year exam papers. Assessment books don't seem to offer those analytical MCQs which school SA papers are testing students with now. Need to go for PSLE/past year papers for thorough practice.

Somehow EPH assessment books look more pleasing to eyes!

              Hello,
Just came back from Popular :imcool: - It was packed with parents, children especially at the assessment books section πŸ˜‰ . Ok, zoom into those that I have short-listed previously and made a comparison and finally decided on the above :please:

The books each contain 36 factual and fictional texts, 18 graphic stimulus materials and 18 vocabulary cloze passages which I feel it closer to DD1's school exam format  ...The areas which she is weaker are the comprehension and cloze passages. So, hopefully I can squeeze in time to do this book with her

I remembered Popular fair is at Expo. Unless I remembered the dates wrongly, I thought it is starting sometime next week only (sorry no intention to visit, so kind of have some vague recollection only of the date).

Hi, I bought this too for my kids & personally find it very useful. I'd strongly recommend this to all parents who wish to improve your kids' comprehension skill.
                      Hi

I bought this Eng assessment you mentioned from P1-4. Didn't get it this year since most of the passages are extracted from Readers Digest. My son asked me, 'Why didn't you buy that Rosemary Allen this year ?'
For cloze, I get this title from Casco every year http://i55.tinypic.com/2z8509i.jpg\">
