Just wondering parents here in KSP, any websites that you trust and constantly find information about TCM for yourself or your kids?

It can be anything from raw herbs to ready-made medication.
Also just wondering, how many believe in such traditional chinese medication way of healing or building up one’s health?

        jessicawongcs:
DS goes to Yu Guo on a monthly basis for tui-na

he was born with disgestion problem. it is tui-na that helps him to get well
Hi jessicawongcs, does Yu Guo give anything for your ds to eat, or give any advice that he shouldn't eat?

Agree that Tuina is good for curing some illness. Just that must meet with the correct person doing it. I did thought of going to pick up this skill but just can't the time and the correct place/teacher to learn from. πŸ˜„

Actually not that cheap, if you buy the good quality chrysanthemum flowers and the best grade wolfberry.
              I drink 1 L of the tea a day.
I also have been drinking Japanese tea for the last 15 years, also about 1L a day, so i don't drink plain water.

                Hi carebear,

not a lot of people are like you - willing to spend the money and time onthe herbal way to build up your health. πŸ™‚ In fact, a lot of people try to stay away from TCM.

Actually I don't consider what I am taking really TCM.
Cos it is just taking natural stuff.
For actual TCM medication, I am quite skeptical about its effectiveness.
However wolfberry effect on the eyes are being studied by Western doctors and may help in macular degeneration.

I boil a handful of chrysanthemum flowers with 1L of water.
Then turn off the fire and add in 2 teaspoon of wolfberries.
Let the tea cool and I put it in the fridge.
It is very refreshing to drink it cold.
Everyday I bring it to work in a flask.

Hi carebear, is it really so effective? I'm very keen to try. I was about to ask you how you prepare it when I saw this post. One question, after boiling for 10 mins, do you throw away the chrysanthemum before adding wolfberries? Or do you keep the 1 litre drink with the flowers.

Also, may I know what is considered good quality chrysanthemum? Not those pre-packed from Chinese medical halls? Where can we buy it from? Is it white chrysanthemum? Thanks much. πŸ˜„
