Hi i've completed more than 40hrs of PV in JWPS but read from this forum that the school seems not very good and academic-oriented. Is it true? They are undergoing upgrading this year till mid 2012. But i saw their 2010 PSLE result is slightly better that WG. Any mummies / daddies out there can give comment on that? πŸ˜„

I saw that JWPS is ranked pretty low.

with reference to the ranking by academic excellency, is it referring to the number of student who produces top grade in that year? as for the students who produce 250 marks and above, it seems like JWP has quite many according to the data in their website. I am actually thinking of enrolling my daughter next year there under phase 2B because JWP is planning to have a in-house student care after upgrading. In addition, I am staying just a stone throw away. Any parents who have children studying in JWP, any feedback on this school?

                        Hi yippee,

The teachers are quite fierce. My DD's math teacher is one of the fierce teacher. After many parents feedback to the form teacher, they get another maths teacher for her class. No exam for P1 and P2 but there will be year-end exam for P2. Every term will have term assessment and test. Not much homework, English so far none, they'll do it during lesson, Chinese sometimes and mostly Maths. P1's CCA mainly on dance and band. They do streaming for Chinese class in term 3 based on term 1 and 2 result. So far, my DD is happy and enjoying school. My advice is not to expect too much from the school. You need to guide your kids at home or send for enrichment/tuition. Hope I have answered your question. πŸ™‚
