      Alph:

Hi there, my girl is studying at SQ. Hers is 2C3, since we are working and her last S1 result was not so good. but S2 is better.problem is because of her result, her friend, who used to be her best, does not want to be her friend and tells my girl stupid. Of course my girl is very sad and I can fell her lonely in class.

Is there any advice what I should do to help my girl ? Why nowadays kids is too means ?

      Hi Alph,

Oh no..sad to hear that...if I'm not wrong..happened to my dd as well coz she ever told me some of her classmates behave in this way. But what can we do? We can't control other ppls mouth..but we can explain to our dd and tell her not to bother over such a matter...there are still plenty good and kind friends within the class and school... πŸ˜„

Agreed with yqyq. Encouragement to your dd is also important. Take this opportunity to encourage (not force) her to work harder for the next semester.

Many thanks for sharing, yeah, I also tried to explain to my girl and told her not to behave the same to her friends. hopefully after the school holidays, she will forget and have new starting πŸ™‚

She is now trying her best to study even harder. I cannot say much and cannot take her pass by her friend’s house :-(.
Seems to me she loves her friend a lots since they were from the same K1, K2 and P1.
She just shared w me and ask me why her friend always throw her papers (as the teacher asked them sent to her) on the floor. She went to ask her teacher and received the silent from the teacher 😞
Shall I or shall I not send an email and ask for help to the form teacher to look after the situation ?

          Alph,
It's sad to see her friend of many years behaving this way but I guess this is part of growing up. It's common at this age to start seeing cliques of friends forming in school/class and if you think back, this is part of our childhood too. I would write an email to the form teacher and let her know about the feedback from school and ask if the form teacher can help to assess the situation. We are in the era where teachers and parents need to work hand in hand for the upbringing of our kids.

I log in once in a while to check for any new updates. My dd's purple file also contain the things that must be done during the holidays. She has yet to complete her book review.

We gave up looking for those books listed by the teacher. Instead, we borrowed 5 other books πŸ˜‰ Must she review all books? My dd only needs to review one of the 5 books :dancing:

For her case, she need to review 5 of the 7 listed books, but has the option to choose other books as well.
