Tomorrow is the last day of supplementary class and dd wanted to play card games with her classmate. DD said her classmate is not allowed to go to friend house as the mother feel is 'dangerous\" and requested dd to go to her house instead. :scared:

BTW, this will be the 3rd time dd goes to her house.

Same here. My DD is going to her classmate’s house to watch a dvd. At first I didn’t want to approve, but relented a bit when I saw how ‘important’ it meant to her.

I think parent in upper priamry will starting facing this type of request.

Yep, started with attending birthday parties at lower primary, then homework / group gathering at upper primary. Tried to limit it to parents we know and we called each other to confirm before letting the kids go to their place. Also, bring and fetch kids from there, or if not at least call the home phone # to confirm presence.

Fully agree. This is the pre-teen phase, and so like kites, we must let the string further and further but still ‘leashed’.

I find parent network very impt. We know the classmates’ parents and share info about the kids so that we know what’s going on esp. in school (Of course without the kid’s knowledge).

Sometimes we will even help to fetch / arrange to handle projects.

Hi, I am taking a look of the PSLE EL booklet that printed of examination questions Year 2006 - 2010. However, I have a feeling that not all components for the 5 years are included.

                  E.g.
For S&T, I can only find 1 page of 5 question and another 5 questions under the Specimen Paper. I thought we should have 5 sets of this S&T since this is meant for 5 years ?

For \"fill in the blank\", so far only find 1 page under the Specimen paper. :?

Unlike the ten year series for ‘O’ level, the PSLE Booklet for all subjects does not have the complete paper. It only comprises sample questions from past PSLE papers. You cannot find many of the challenging questions in the Math PSLE booklet.

Today marks last day of ds's supp class. He is so happy and gets 2 hours of MA done...then shoooo ...off to playing game time.
Brenda, seems like daughters will have such fren's invitations. Seems her fren's parent is over-reacting to such request. Albeit strange when it is the third time already.
