I placed order on 14 April, and another 15 April, goods left China on 5 & 6 May respectively. Understand that my family received 2 packages from China today. Can’t wait to go back and check if orders are completely fulfilled.

I rec one of my orders today, 3 Jun, placed on 7th April, cleared China's custom on 5th May. There's only a book set for this order. The book set has 20 titles (thin books). But my earlier orders are not here yet.

I view it this way. That I'm buying retail price at a China's bookstore and paying a few Sing dollars for shipping , viewing the glass half full.

I was told that one set of books that I purchase, from Dang Dang, last year cost about twice as much here.

Because I can buy whenever I iike. There are special offers that might not wait for sprees.

If there's any problem with the books, I can handle with DD directly.

This is so true! Also you will have vouchers given by DD. So at the end of the day, it is still better to buy on your own rather than go to the spree.

I did a rough comparison, shipping from DD and shipping using vpost from amazonUS actually does not differ much in terms of pricing and exchange rate. Except that the waiting time is far too long.

Bicky, I think you need to wait for another 1 more week. I placed order on end Mar, move out of China port on 2nd Apr and I just received the parcels on the 2 June. Based on the calculation, it took about 8.7 weeks for my batch of shipment. You can asked DD but I reckon DD will ask you to wait patiently.
