hi
anyone can recommend good music school at novena? -
you can try Phileia at Goldhill.
-
My boys attend mandeville at united sq. But of course the experience varies by teacher.
-
Well I have nightmare about the both schools named mandeville at united sq and Phileia at Goldhill . Would anybody suggest any other music school at novena because than both of schools mentioned earlier .
-
Lanceklusener, may I know whether your "nightmare" is with the teachers or admin in Phileia? I have heard positive feedbacks so far with Phileia.
-
I’ve poor experience with 2 teachers from Cristofori, so I’d not recommend this school.

Hi Jce,
Do you have an experience with Phileia? I am interested to get feedback for their violin lesson for my DS.
Thanks. -
I use to teach piano there. My friend runs the school. You may find that I am slightly biased…but to be honest, my friend has high expectations from the teachers so generally the teachers are of a certain standard. She auditions them personally and she doesn’t take in any "tom, dick and harry" just because she is desperate for a teacher. She doesn’t have many violin teachers, only one male and one female if I don’t remember wrongly. The premises is relatively small, there are only 5 or 6 studios but all well maintained.

In my view you should go GIFT Institute. I am also studying in this. So I think at least one time you should also try this.
Thanks in advance. -
