This is my 12th year with my company. My boss is good and the management allows us to work from home at times so I appreciate the flexibility especially when we have young kids.I worked in my company for 10 over years and when I tendered, my boss just shrugged and said ok!!!??? What a stupid ass**#@#$? Btw, salary suck big time!!
Sorry can't help it. No point to be loyal to a company.
Now I am looking forward to my new job.
So you're serving notice now? Must be excited to start a new job soon. All the best! :rahrah: -

12 years in a company...
u sacrifice your youth to this company
and they saw u thru thick & thin - from par tok, to wedding, to pregnancy & birth..
wow, nt many companies can accompany u thru
-
Many of my colleagues also worked many years. I guess everyone likes the co. culture and the boss so we stayed on for so many years.

i feel as FTWM, if the company gives u the flexibility in term of able to take time off/urgent leave/childcare leave to handle our kids, and the salary is ok (i cant expect too much for the effort i put in, really, compare to last time cheong)… i thk stay put… unless better opportunity lor… i’ve been in my company for 6 years plus liao… jst got my 5 years long service awards recently… first year was contract. i think if nothing happen i will just stay put till i get my 10 year long service muahaha

LKVM and Tigger, thanks and I looked forward to new job.
Actually if colleagues and boss are nice, we tend to stay longer despite maybe having a not so attractive salary.
I stay in the west. Want to go exercise together? I like to have different group of friends to do different things. Plus meeting and making new friends are fun. Don’t know why at this age, it seems more difficult to make new friends. -
Mayb I am facing mid-life crisis now so always thinking of meeting new people. My old job always having men clients which is so boring…get to close to them people might have the wrong idea. So better stick to women safer!!
