      micollh:

since May (after they have changes in their English teacher), she started to refuse to enter school. now, worst haven leave home cry already, tell me school not fun. but once she is inside the school she is fine, when i pick her from school she is always happy.. just the morning portion, she act up.. teacher told me they observe her, no one bully her, nothing different on her routine. they said some of her frens earlier also like this, they just bear with it, this stage will be over.

DD told me, school not fun, want me to go to school with her.. sigh. she is in Nursery.
Is it because her new English teacher is more strict? She is in nursey, did she manage to put in her own words why it isn't fun anymore?

maybe she just don't like her new teacher?

hope this phrase will be over soon.

[quote="micollh"]morning ladies… two more days to go…this week very tired… cos my DD still act up.cry and cry refuse to go school. sigh. mentally tired.quote]

I can totally understand that mentally tired part. My gal took one year to get used to going to childcare. For that one year, she refused to wear uniform and will cry badly upon reaching school. Sometimes even refused to leave home. Now, she is so much better and happily goes to school.

Did you check with her teachers why your DD act up? Maybe change of teacher? Maybe something happened in sch that frightened her?

My youngest one will be going to cc in 2 months time (toddler’s class). Hopefully he can adapt better than his brother and sister. Since his big brother and sister are in the same cc, they can help to watch out for him.

ah my DD2 did that before and she is someone who has been going infant care and CC..

They had a slight change in schedules when she shifted from Playgroup to Nursery hence it took her a couple of weeks to get adjusted to it. You can ask the teachers what's being taught for her and what's her schedule. You can chat with her at home and play out the items in schools and how it will be fun for her. Chat with her on how as she grows, teacher will teach new things, if she doesn't know she can come home and tell you?

I tried that with my DD2 and she got over it. I had another phrase with N2 to K1 , lol so I had to do it all over again.

maybe u can ask her who are her frens in school, what they usually play with, their names, etc…

then every morning u try telling ur DD so & so waiting for her in school… u wanna play with them… etc

                    does this help?

actually, i’ve tried almost all those u all have suggested… to no avail… anyway, i take this as passing phase… her teacher told me the same. just bear with it and it’ll be over…just continue to insist that she has to go to school, cannot say want mummy all the time, as mummy will pick her from school in the evening unless i find her not feeling well then maybe can let her stay home…else no excuse.
