Went for meet up this afternoon at RSS with the principal, vice principal and 2 teachers about the PV. According to them, they only select less than 10 PV based on school needs. And fortunately we r one of them. There are 2 tasks assigned and one is quite interesting and challenging but we can do it. It’s quite a very relaxing meet up and more details will be followed in 2 weeks time. Oh, b4 went in, the clerk talked to us and said how lucky we are cos they rejected many many applicants. Now can’t wait for the assignment to begin but we need to start planning on one of the tasks…PV here we are and come…hehe

Able to share the nature of the interesting and challenging tasks? So that other PV can have a better expectation... 🙂

              Hi Parents,

I’ve just received confirmation from Paya Lebar MGS that I’ve been accepted as PV. Was so looking forward to being accepted and now that I am, I feel worried.

Being a working mother, I anticipate a lot of annual leaves needed to be taken in order for me to fulfill the 40 hours… So, was just wondering if anyone has any idea what should I be expecting (meaning assignments or tasks given by the school)?

For me i took abt total of 11 days (include abt 5 Childcare leave) to complete my 40hrs of services in BPPS. Assignment that i took was mainly excursions, help out in festival, school IT and sports day.

I only took 7 days of leave previously for PV. Most of the assignments I had were taking up 6 - 8 hours daily.

In this way, you will not have to be away from work for too many days. But many PV will think likewise and in the end, it will be competitive to bid for the slot.

I guessed the most tough is by Tao Nan School where need to visit 80 times being a Traffic Controller.

                        30 Min X 80 = 40 Hours.
