Criteria for a Good Student Care Service (BASC)

I agree. Not just the distraction. There is a restriction for childcare centre to run student care service. I believe they are only allowed to have 10% of their student enrollment to be under student care. So, the operators may not be able to afford specialized care to this smaller group of primary school students. They may put the pre-school teachers to take care the primary school students and just their needs like food, rest, hygiene.hi Shoe
Most childcare centre should hv service for student care. And there are PAP student care centres just solely for student care. I personally prefer those centre solely for student care instead of 'mixing' the childcare and student care cos the younger kids in the childcare can be 'distracting' to the older students for the before after school care.
Primary school students definitely have very different needs from pre-schoolers. Both academically and character-development wise. We will want our children to develop their characters among their peers.
Also, pre-schoolers are more prone to the seasonal flu / disease / HFMD ...

I am also looking for a centre near Toa Payoh or Central. Besides the bigger names, does anyone have any other centres to recommend? I called one of the "bigger name" which my friend recommended, but a child picked up the phone and it took more than 10 mins before an adult came and took over (a child had unsupervised access to the office??) I found them very rude cos the person did not even apologise and they just told me they don’t even take waiting list. Out of desperation, I even emailed the contact on their website and to-date, have not even received any response!!

Hi there,
Have anyone tried out the TLC Student Care at Chua Chu Kang? Looking around for a after school student care near that area. -
To juskid,
can try Jessin in Toa Payoh, Blk 85b.
Good feedback and they also conduct tuition at night. -
Can a student care centre enrol a child for one year plus and now claim that she cannot handle the child because needs more attention and asked the child to leave the centre?
Can a student care centre asked the child to leave and tell the child that she or he can behave like ah beng or ah seng in other student care centre and she couldn’t be bothered?
I need to know under what consequences can a centre asked a child to leave. The kid has good record in the past childcare centre, good conduct in the school. Don’t fight, only sometimes can be a bit loud, chatty and dreaming while doing works. -
does anyone enrol the child at Pro teach (BASC) at hong wen? looking for one near hong wen

BASC stands for Before & After School Care, which essentially is a student care centre.
