jedamum:
Thanks, Allblack. I'll let my DD know that CCAs are compulsory in P3 to get her ready for some \"independence\" by then. jedamum really deserves her rank here cos when I asked her about available CCAs at LPS, she sent me the list (which she had acquired some time ago). LOL
I was mislead by MOE's un-updated info that the school offers Wushu. wonder why they scrap it....Allblack:
Yes P1 can take CCA. Robotics Min P3 after selection.Allblack:
schellen..Which class is your child? mine is Amethyst... maybe they are classmate
the class cannot say here hor....:nunchuk: nowadays teachers also internet-savvy.
can pm Allblack though..
The KiasuGrandmasterII has spoken....and waved her weapon around threateningly...so I'll PM you lor.

Sorry didn't know cannot post class here...
As for Wushu... Yup, they had wushu a few yrs back when son is in P1. Also got selection somemore... he join for 2 yrs and i pull him out... from then on... more pull out & eventually stop.
Reason for pulling out is because i felt they are always training for display... and the moves so ... like tofu. After 2 yrs... didn't see any improvement unlike outside where i see 6 months of training can really do a lot. So don't wanna waste time... -
Allblack:
so did your boy continue Wushu outside?
unlike outside where i see 6 months of training can really do a lot. So don't wanna waste time...
i just sign my boy up with the community centre. his moves are tofu-newbie type, but he had tried hard and likes the workout. he even told me that when he has mastered the moves, he may want to register for 'talent showcase' in school.

Err... the class no-no is just a jedamum thing... we do not restrict parents from posting the classes that their kids are in... it's entire up to you to decide how much info you want to divulge. It would be useful to post class info if you are trying to look for parents who have children in the same classes as your children. -
Allblack, do you know if the performing arts CCAs (like ballet) have audition or pre-requisite? Do parents need to pay? TIA!
-
jedamum:
He lost interest in it & futher more now in P4...no much spare time... however i wish he has stick on to Wushu.

Anyone can join... however 1 of the xpensive CCA here. $80/10 lessons -
Allblack:
P4 really that busy ah? Make me anxious leh. Or is because the boy is in THE Class
now in P4...no much spare time...
(no confirmation needed though
). The last MTP session, I overheard some anxious mummies speculating that the teaching methods in THE Class may be very different from the rest. :!:
So your P1 now is second round, not so stress already, right?

Allblack:
Thanks! Okay, I better do a check before she actually signs up for any CCAs cos her ballet and piano lessons outside aren't cheap too.schellen:
