      u can choose either OCBC or SCB...

      When did you receive the letter? I din get any. So meaning we have to open an acct to get the $300 from govt and then close the acct again? Then how to retrieve the $$?

      i didnt rcv any letter also... i read they will be mailing in jun cos gahment banking in the $$ in Jul....

            so meaning we will need to create this acct when they enter P1 :?
            again so meaning the teachers will ask us to fill in forms & such to open this acct :?

            wa liao, so many accts....

            even my DD's acct for her CDC also empty :oops: the one that the gahment will match $$ for $$ for 2nd birth onwards...

            now mil ask me to open saving accts for both of them... :faint:
            so that can bank in all their yearly ang bao $$ & daily \"earnings\" cos when DS enters P1 next yr, whatever fees will be deducted thru GIRO & this means, i have to hv a acct & apply GIRO...

            is this the so call edu save acct? no right? its 2 separate accts rite? :imdrowning: :imdrowning: :?: :?: :?:

                    wow, that's early! My kids usually wake up at that time. So by the time they reach cc, almost 9am. On sat, their cc dun have many kids so I dun think they will want to go there. They rather stay home to watch TV. :lol:
                    My 2 DD wakes at 7.15 - 7.30am... used to be 7am before (before I screamed) :nosebleed:

                    and they don't mind going to CC coz they can play at the playground / be as noisy while at home, they have to follow ground rules

                    CDA account is different from Edusave. CDA is meant for usage till your child is 6 years. Edusave is meant from 7 years (calendar) onwards . My mum didn't have to do anything, the Edusave was kind of automatically done by MOE. Used to use it for my ECA (CCA).

                    1.How can my child make use of the money in his Edusave account?

                    Your child can make withdrawals from his Edusave account to pay for:

                    ■enrichment programmes organised by his school
                    ■2nd-tier miscellaneous fees in government or government-aided schools.
                    ■independent school fees in excess of school and standard miscellaneous fees in government schools;
                    ■SPED school fees in excess of the school and standard miscellaneous fees in government primary schools
                    ■additional miscellaneous fees for autonomous schools and integrated programme schools;
                    ■approved fees in junior colleges, centralised institute and pre-university courses;

                      Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson go on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep.

                      Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend. “Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”

                      “I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes” replies Watson.

                      “And what do you deduce from that?”

                      Watson ponders for a minute. “Well,

                      Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.

                      Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo.

                      Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three.

                      Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.

                      Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe.

                      But what does it tell you, Holmes?”

                      Holmes is silent for a moment.

                      “Watson, you idiot!” he says. “Someone has stolen our tent!”
