php,
THanks for the information.
markfch,
Shld have cut out that article on the relocation. MOE was addressing the concerns of parents. The schools that I can think of nearest to our place are Bukit Timah and Bukit View Prim. Both schools are actually very inconvenient. Only bus 173 from our place and to Bukit View Prim is a big detour. Super sian.
My fren will be super kancheong now. She PV for RGPS but is out of 2km.
The only thing I can say is MOE is really lousy in planning. -
Scary:
What abt Keming or Princess Elizabeth?php,

With more Bt Timah projects TOP in the future, I think the sch vacancy issue is going to be a big headache for many families. -
Jennifer:
If I'm not wrong, Princess elizabeth is already balloting every year.. for within 1km I think... not sure abt Keming though..

Mrsbongz:
Seems like Bt Timah is a saturated estate with more new homes but each nearby sch size is getting smaller.

After all the sch upgrading is done in Bt Timah area, I hope MOE can convert the vacant sch premise @ Toh Tuck into a new pri sch to accommodate more new homes in this area. -
Mrsbongz:
Think Keming will have balloting for P2C > 1km and we can forget about Princess E since every year it's over-subscribed due to the high density of flats there.

Personally I feel that Bukit View is an up and coming sch (mean aggregate score was a very credible 219 for PSLE last yr). That's why it puzzles me that Princess E & Keming appear to be more popular in BB area.

Being the only child, ds always complains that he's lonely. Then yesterday, he tricked me into promising to buy him a puppy if he does well in P1.
Much to dw's dismay, I fell straight into the trap (since I find it hard to say 'no' to ds's requests most of the time anyway).
Then just now he said he wants a golden retriever. Darn! I stayed in a small flat how to keep such a big dog? I really regret shooting my mouth off w/o thinking, but I can't go back on my word cos I know it'll be such a big letdown. :slapshead: -

You've got to be careful when you get a golden retriever. When it's a pup, it looks just sooo lovable and cute.... These retrievers usually arrive Singapore at the age of 3 months... but once you buy them, the pet shop guy told us that we need to quickly take lots of pictures as within the next 3 months, they will grow to 90% of the adult size. Huge and handsome, but no longer the cutie pup you saw 3 months ago. Another point to note, is that golden retrievers are heavy shedders.Being the only child, ds always complains that he's lonely. But Mark, it's ok, go ahead to buy the pup and when it gets bigger and you dont know what to do with it, you can give it to me. DD is eyeing it too!  -
Happy Mama:
Sure ornot? I've a strong attachment toward all my pets, you know.

Come to think about it, I won't be too worried if I give it to you. At least I'll be assured that it'll end up in a good household (找到一个好住宿).
Can you teach it how to play 'fantasie impromptu' & speak korean then pass it back to me, keke. -
