I have used RO water from natural sunshine before I change to current model, i found it is wasting water because half of the water have to drain off.
And I read from somewhere that it is no good to consume RO water for long term. New water is a RO water too.

I'm also using osim. From what i understand we're suppose to change filter every 4 mth no matter how much the usage is. Maybe tat's why urs look so dirty after 9 mth !!

By the way, mine is old model which comes with an indicator telling you when to change the filter. Too bad the indicator is now spoilt. So i just write the date on the filter and remind myself to change after 3-4 mths.

I see!!! *lol* The purifier is actually something that hubby wanted to be installed, so I don't have an idea whether there is an indicator or not (ok, me go check later). It's just amazing that it can get so dirty. Then again, maybe the dirt can make us stronger and healthier!

I'm using the Elken brand too that comes with normal and hot water dispenser. Can really taste the \"freshness\" of the water. Very convenient as dont need to boil water now. Before we installed Elken, the water tasted funny - even after boiling it.

In fact, there is this filter device that turns brown over time. Dare not imagine what we are drinking if the water is not filtered.

I’m using the Amway E-Spring filter now…mum bought it first and I like the taste…the best part is not having to boil water anymore. It was difficult convincing hubby to get it, but he finally bought it as we drink a lot of water and he is the one who boils the water…the rest is history.


Now that we are so used to the taste of filtered water, we find the ‘taste’ of boiled water ‘salty’. Filter is to be changed every year.

I’m using the Mavello Alkerline water system. Beside filtering the tap water, it also ionised & split the water into alkerline & acidic water. Alkerline water is for drinking whereas acidic water for washing purpose.


I remember there’s a recent newspaper article on regards to alkerline water & there’s the belivere & doubters on its benefits… For me, I can’t said it improves my health tremenously but it does help in my gout.

I am using Elken and it comes with both the warm and hot water dispensers. Very convenient and the water tastes really good, especially if you leave it for a few hours. Have been using it for almost 10 years and still loving it.

I'm currently using Hyflux eLife Energy Water Filter. So far so good.
Plan to purchase an Alkerline water system from Hexagon (Cosway). Thks spanly, now I hv another option. Do u remember how much u bought?

Using Hyflux eLife Water Filter. Find it very fragile. Accidentally broke by the maid while she was doing her washing/cleaning. Luckily, they gave us a free replacement. Have to clean the filter the every 3 months.
