Hi annfresh, I go to Peninsula ( same building where BATA shoes are ) there are shops selling singtel cards, provisions etc, they provide this service. I went to the 2nd level last month and remitted 200 for my maid. Theres a service charge of 5 dollars frm this shop. My relatives maid goes to the 3rd level quite often and the shop charges 2 dollars or sometimes nothing. (cos shes frequent and burmese). 😄

Btw…how many pcs of inner garments does ur burmese maid has? Do you buy for her? Mine came with 4 pcs…i wanna buy 1-2 more pcs coz i dun have a dryer…and my hse dun have much sun…generally clothes need at least 2 days to dry…

and coz she has a funny smell with her…and i ask her to bath 3 times…so technically speaking she has to change at least 2 times (but i know she didnt change her inners coz i dun see her wash)…

So thinking of getting 1-2 more pcs so that i can ask her change. But this maid think she’s the usual stubborn burmese maid…if i dun get the same type…doubt she will be willing to wear…most likely juz chuck one side…

and i dun think sg got sell their kind of inners…how ah?

I got my maid some inner garments and clothes cos she came with just a few pcs and it definitely wasn’t enough. She didn’t really want to bath and wash her hair. Sometimes, her hair was so oily that it had a wet look. Finally, I had to tell her very bluntly that she has to bath, brush her teeth and change cos she STINKS! They are just so stubborn!

Mine used to eat 2 packs of 5 KG rice every month. At least 3 of them eats their rice mixed with spoon fulls of cooking oil and salt together with other dishes! So unhealthy.

Actually having Burmese maids was so challenging that I gave up having a maid altogether. I guess if I never got Burmese maids, I’ll still have some faith in maids now. Well, at least I’m happier now.

yanyan, just bring them along when you’re buying the inner garments. Ask them to choose then you won’t go wrong. Yes, burmese maids can be quite challenging but it still depends on luck. There are some burmese maids who are very obedient and will not dare raise their voice at you or gives a black face. So far I haven’t met any but I m sure there are.
