LOLMum:
      hi inmeemee and bigsnoopy,

sad to hear that your dh is unsupportive. it is the same for a few of my friends too.

but theirs might be different from yours because they knew before marriage that their bf (now hubby) is very pro his own family and gf (now wives) are kinda on the 2nd tier. but they still went ahead and got married. now home is like war zone (some mellowed now) but the relationship between couples is definitely very very plain like water.

but like it or not, have to consider kids so my friends chucked their own unhappiness aside.........at least till the kids are older....

take care ..... all the best.
sad to hear that the relationship between the couple is plain like water. i am hoping to move away from that.

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, 'It depends. Is that your husband?' In all seriousness, she answered 'How do you know?'

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

          Here's the answer.
err.. actually.. did she answer the question? can't seems to find leh..
THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.
Agree :hi5: ... The person who will keep to the promise of staying with you in good times and in bad times. Working out issues together, no finger pointing or blame whatsoever. Holding onto the burden (each holding their end of the \"stick\") and ensuring the well-being of the family... That (in a gist) is the right person to marry :dancing:

I can not agree with you more. Love is like a tree that needs nurturing. The daily trifles may make us tired and disappointed, but we can not blame love. Marriage is the tomb of love, as the old saying goes. Actually, we will not know where to bury ourselves without marriage.

Though we may face some challenges and difficulties in the twist and turn of life and of marriage, we should try our best to conquer them and live our life and cultivate our love to the fullest.
I still believe Jack shall have Jill.

I believe I did marry the right person & I always feel I am lucky… I have been with my DH for almost 17 yrs (OM goodness, have it been that long??!) married for almost 8 yrs & we can tell each other anything under the sun.

only thing now is how to find excitement in our lives…it is getting too monotonous esp so when DS started his formal education. Why excitement and heart beating fast feelings gone when one is too long in a relationship? How to create some excitement once again?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. πŸ˜‰
