Of course is scgs. SCGS is becoming an IP school while CGS is not. SCGS has produced a number of president scholars while CGS has not.

Er. Depends on which religion. CGS is a Christian school but not SCGS.

Is Crescent a Christian school? I don’t think so.

Of course Crescent is not a christian school. It is a government school.

Another reason, SCGS’s COP has been higher than CGS every year.

ok…another one just my personal observation…I think CGS is catching up because the number of students getting 9A1s are more than SCGS and in many academic competition I see CGS outperforming SCGS by a big gap. These competitions includes various academic olympiads, for example.

somehow … CGS seems to be in low profile, compared to SCGS.

CGS got what kind of DSA ?

well, I would say that scgs has a rich history behind it and i was privileged to be part of that history. I had friends that went to CGS, but like what was mentioned, they are good - but relatively low key.

I didn’t think that scgs academics was strong (at least during my era) but then many of my compatriots went to top JCs. This was then. Apologies for not being able to offer more info on NOW.

Niece in Sec 1 this year. SIL highly educated chose to put her in CGS vs SCGS/MGS etc though it’s further due to the following reasons:

                      - CGS is one of the top non-SAP/GEP girls’ school
                      - SCGS & MGS have affiliated prim schools. Thus the classmates/schoolmates will have known each other and have cliques. Don’t want niece to be out of place.
                      - Most kids in SCGS/MGS have above average background and may not be so humble.
                      - Traffic along Bukit Timah vs Redhill (with MRT).

will be great if MOE has plant to IP CGS with a Boys school.

which Secondary Boys school u think appropriate to IP (marry) CGS with ? CGS girls are decent, studious, hardworking, humble in character.

people say if you want to produce good, filial daughters with good manners or get good daughter in law, must find those filial piety type, those that respect elders. I think CGS and NYGH will make good daughters and future daughters in law. what you think ?
