You may want to de-register him from the first school on the afternoon of 29 Jul instead of 27 Jul. Thereafter, proceed to your school of choice in P2C.


Situation may look optimistic on 27 Jul, but come 29 Jul, anything can happen. Hence, it's better to wait till the third day of P2C registration.

Situation may look optimistic on the first day. There may not be many applicants on the first day. However, that does not mean very few people are not interested in the school.

Other parents may be like you, observing the situation in the school. Other parents are also waiting to see if they stand a higher chance before they withdraw from the other schools. So, on the third day of registration, there may be a sudden surge in the number of applicants for the schools.

i think qms wants you to wait til the last day last few hrs to btr estimate what's ur chances. a lot of parents are doing the same thing, meaning only registering in Phase 2C on the last day.

According to MOE, can check in the following:
1) http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/

2) Teletext (Channel 8, page 720)

Maybe after 4.30pm today, there will be some updates.
