NV is very near my home within 1km… so with NC… am hoping to get NC but if fail, the NV… NV is quite new right?

WCW:
btw, north vista 1st psle result is this yr?
yup. it'll b their 1st psle results this yr. kinda late... by the time they announce their results, the registrations r already over
im wondering how they prepare for the upcoming psle since its new teaching methods. i also heard that some parents transfer their child out of the school but anyone know the main reason?? i did consider NV since im within 2KM, kinda like their new teaching method n best of all, single sessions. considering yck, xinghua or NV. NV still cant confirm whether they're having open house/school tours. -
My DD P1 in NV tis yr. Lots of assignments posted on the website to complete during the June holidays. The form teacher has been quite responsive as she sets up various mode of communication with the parents through sms, emails and a twitter account for the class. So far, still manageable.

I agreed with sctan. I even complain to her teacher that too much home work were given in some days.
To me, it is ok to fail in their test, exam, etc. It is the learning path for the child to take failure as a lesson and learn from there! Understand why they fail and not to make the same mistake again. I do not want my child to grow up with good academic result but cannot take failure in their life.
It is just my own opinion. -
This school is a Pay & Pay school, collect money at the begining of each term for all the enrichment programs.
I let my daughter choose the school herself last year! Till now, she likes the school and able to follow the programs well. -
Am don’t mind paying as long is within reasonable amount and most important is the kid enjoys the programs. Not so sure about judging PSLE results base on one class only…

after reading thru all the post , looks like NVPS is a good school only not sure of PSLE results as this is the first year they will go for it . Actually wanted to go for NCPS but chances not high as fall under phase 2c 1-2km . But NVPS is within 1km , so can anyone advise , I will still monitor NCPS if no chance at all then i will go straight to NVPS , chances still can go in ? I never know register for primary one is so headache , so stress !

I knew about this.
It should have at least 50% of the students transfer out after their parents knew about this, but I think the percentage is not that high. They still have confidence on their kids and school.
NVPS own product are in P4 now. Those in P5 and 6 are trsnsferred from all schools when they setup in 2008. To judge the PSLE result have to wait till 2013.
Stress comes from parents.
P1 registration, School exam, PSLE, and so on. Good luck parents. -

This is my 1st child going to primary school. So far, aside teachings from the school, pupils are encouraged to log into Marshall Cavendish where teachers load in tons of assignments and interactive tutorials for them to complete. My gal find it interesting and looking forward to do it. My only worry is that this may strain her eyes. Heard from my other friends, Horizon Primary and Beacon Primary also practice that. Hope my information is useful to those parents considering NVTPS.
