Yep, you are right. Sibling registration guaranteed place, so usually people all register within day 1. Some schools even ask for all the details before today, and they just key in today. No need for parents to even turn up.

Phase 1 must go down to school registered meh? :scratchhead:

I thought already passed the registered form through elder sis/brother earlier on around May?

Why some parents still needs to go down to register today or tomorrow?

Anyone can confirm?[/quote]I don't know if all sch practise the same. My DD registration need not go down sch, jus submit via DS very early. We received the successful letter with orientation details immediately after registration period. Very fast.

if first day already 52 % snapped up at Pei Hwa and Nanyang … and a lot more expected to come in via Phase 2 (2A1 and 2A2) means… phase 2B (clan, church, RC, PVs) and 2C very few left !

no worry lah, every year the same

siblings take up about 50%, then alumni phase will slow down, not many PV for NYPS -- and anyway balance after alumni is split 50:50 between PV/GRL and 2C (open category)

Percentage is very subjective, as it is dependent on total whole amount. I much prefer to see numbers instead of percentage πŸ˜‰

Numbers are certainly easier to read, but % is better for year to year comparison.

Say a school has an intake of 330 one year, and 300 the following year.
First year phase 1, 120 children got in. Following year phase 1, 115 children got in.

While in absolute numbers, 2nd year has less student entering via phase 1, the TUR actually went up from 36% to 38%.

though it is still early to comment but I'm happy to see 18% for plmgs πŸ˜“ , hopefully it doesn't change much today
