OMG puff! don’t go too harder. my DD2 only add within 10.I just follow the knindergarten. My daughter doesn’t listen to me.So that I hard to teach her.She learnt from school the I give practise. Now I planning to teach - (minus).I don’t want to confuse her.

For my son I taught nursery syllabus in play group,in K1 I taught K2 syllabus. In K2 I stuck cos he couldn’t follow if I go further. But I sent him to kindergarten.
You can buy assesment books and give her to practise.Parents we can teach lot of creative things and help in learning through play.
      Just my opinion.

        puff:
Thanks Pen88n. I always tot x/ is more difficult than problem sum. Maybe I should give DD a break until she is K2 then I continue with simple problem sum.

Please advise is this too difficult for them : __ +19 =31
I was like :frustrated: :stupid:  when teaching her (found this qn in her k1 assessment book) :?
        puff,
your dd must by your first kid. 😄
i was like :frustrated: :stupid:  teaching ds1 math when he was in preschool as i had no idea what to expect of P1 math. considering neighbourhood pri school standard (ie ds1's current primary school), they don't test P1 kids on questions like such until they know addition with regrouping method - part of p1 syllabus. so you don't have to worry. can try again next yr. in any case 12+19 involves 'carrying over/regrouping' ie '2+9=11, must carry the 10s over to get 31'; this is definitely not regular K1`work.

Eventhough q is big but consider about solving method.solving method should be easy.So we lern from teachers and then we teach. We cannot teach on our own method.

:yikes: DD2 is barely doing addition. Just counting numbers so that she understands what is before and after...
