Hi, i'm just wondering, is the balleting on the 1st of day after the registration or the 2nd day? Also, is it usually in the morning? Appreciate your advice as i need to plan my leave.
If you are talking about P2C, results will be out on 05 Aug. Hence, balloting usually takes place on 05 Aug.
You will know whether balloting is in the morning or afternoon on the day of the registration. Schools usually pass a piece of paper to parents informing them of the details, in case balloting is required. Some schools hold the balloting in the morning, while others in the afternoon. -

No worry, you should donate if they need as much as $8000. I will try to take loan from bank if given a choice. If it so near and without taking school bus, I think it most likely worth it hor. eg. if 1 year school bus fees is $1,400, it will be $8,400 throughout the 6 years. This has not include time spend in the journey hor.

I know a school that ask for donations on top of the $xxx membership fee!!!
But well, that somehow make me feel that I am against my principal. :imanangel: -

I am curious, in today's society, can the school still accept donations? Wont it be unfair for those who cannot afford? -
no one mention schools but apparently if you donate a fairly HUGE amount (5 figures), it can get you on the board instantly for P2A1ā¦

Rather take the money n go holiday. If child cannot handle in the good school, then money go down the drain lieow.

Totally agree!!!!! My colleague's friend has their DD in a really popular school but can't keep up with the pace. she couldn't get into the affilated school (also very good sec sch) and they have been trying to pull strings , just because of the brand name.... really nothing to say for that :faint: -
I am going for Phase 2A(2). Will I need to ballot if the school I choose is highlighted red in the table?

ya.. I would rather spend the $$ wisely..
For me, thou I agree education is very important in Singapore context, but if I need to donate to get a place.. and the amount is huge.. I don't think I will do that.. I will rather send him to a 'normal' neighbour school and use the $$ for him to go for enrichment classes/tuition etc etc..
