      Rhythmic gym - yes. Check out the DSA page on the RGS site. Not sure about DSA through dance. I doubt.

          1) Critical and Creative Thinking
          2) Hands-On Problem Solving
          3) Oral and Written Communication
          4) Literary Appreciation

          any kind soul can share in greater details what the test is all about?

              hi ms_lim, I believe this is a generic letter from RGS. What is tested would depend on which domain your daughter applied under. E.g. if under Maths, then 2) would be more relevant. If under English or MT, then 1) & 4) may be relevant.

                        Step 1: Application Form and Submission of Relevant Documents
                        For all applicants

                        Application is open from 25 April 2011 (Monday) at 12 noon to 08 July 2011 (Friday) at 12 noon.
                        Complete an online application form. We regret that hard copy application forms will not be available.
                        Upon submission of the online application form, please print a copy of the completed form and submit with the following:
                        i)\t \tCover page (downloadable upon submission of the online application form)
                        ii)

                        A personal statement:

                        On a separate sheet of paper, respond to one of the following:

                        1. The Raffles Programme is committed to the development of the person, the thinker, the leader and the pioneer. Describe a situation from your experience that required you to uphold a value or principle dear to you. Tell us what difficulties you encountered (if any) and how you dealt with them.

                        2. Write about something that you have accomplished (other than grades) in school or in the community, which you are proud of. Describe how you went about achieving it and why you think it was significant.

                        This personal statement should be hand written in no more than 500 words. After you have completed it, please sign your name as an attestation that it is your own authentic and original work.

                        1 passport-size photograph

                        Non-refundable application fee of $50. Please do not send cash by post. Cheque payments must be made payable to: Raffles Girls’ School (Secondary). Cheque payments are strongly encouraged to facilitate the application process. We do not accept bankdrafts. (Students who are in receipt of financial assistance from their primary school will be granted a waiver)

                        Certified true copy of P5 (year-end results) and P6 (mid-year results). If you do not have the P6 results at the point of DSA application, please submit to us as soon as you receive it.

                        Note: Please submit the above documents within five working days. For online applications made from 4 July, the documents should be submitted by the closing date of 08 Jul 2011, 12 noon.

                        Your application is effective only after you have submitted all the documents listed above.
