      linden2000:
Seems like the upper block science guide is more useful than textbook.

๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ Even at lower primary, the guide book is more often refer to than the textbook!

Yup, only used school text books for revision when DD was in P3 and I didnโ€™t know any betterโ€ฆ

I did not attend DD1's school Science workshop held somewhere in Term 2 but DD1's classmate parents feedback to me the HOD asked that parents (P3 onwards) to get the PSLE Ultimate Science guide as a reference! :scratchhead:

I did not do it as having the lower block book and so I recommend to DD1's classmate parents. Result? They think it is more comprehensive than the textbook so most agree to wait till P5 then get the PSLE Ultimate Science Guide ๐Ÿ˜„

If you already have the Ultimate Sci lower block, just get the upper blck will do. No need to get the PSLE Ultimate Sci guide as that will be a repetition - it consolidates the 2 books into 1.

Hey parents, just to update and share...

Since the start of this new semester, DD is revising less and playing more. But I feel, she is absorbing more and taking less time to accomplish what she took hours to before.

Thanks to our friend, Chenonceau's advice! ๐Ÿ’‹

Am very mindful of \"diminishing returns\" now! Less is more!

Just spoke to a colleague and she shared how her grandaughter is doing \"badly\" and thus not allowed to play nor watch TV, just study - coz the mum is panicking... I felt so sad for the kid and the mum who is likely reacting to what most of us are getting from schools...

A happy child will likely do better all round, folks! So let's all keep it positive! ๐Ÿ˜„

Awwwww! :snuggles: It was hardly advice though... I was just sharing what worked with DS. Glad it works for you too.

                  Hi Penoy

                  Thank you for sharing.

I do agree that we should limit the timing for revision/assessment book as it become less effective when the time spend exceeded the child capacity.

I believe they can also acquire something beyond the text book and assessment book when they are playing, reading, listening to news/song or even watching TV show etc.

                  Cheers

For kids going to p3 next year, it would be advisable to get the PSLE ultimate as itโ€™s 2-in-1โ€ฆsave space. I have been referring to it quite a bit recently as I like the experiments and the aim of thoseโ€ฆclearly explained. Quite regret getting the MC orange one first.
