ya, I know most likely MGS no hope so plan B is CHIJ OLQP and hopefully I have a higher chance there!
Call the school on the last day of registration. You will be able to gauge for yourself your chance then. -
Hi, for 2A2 for ex students, I can register tomorrow right? Or only today?

Yes, there are 2 days of registration - no need to go early and queue.

Hi jeanieg,Hi mommies can anyone enlighten me on how the balloting process work? I will be in phase 2c and so results will be out on 5 August. Sorry if i am repeating questions already answered, but how do we know the results? Will the school call or send a letter? And if there is balloting, will we know on the same results day?
Am gonna try for MGS but super super slim chance as I am with 1-2km and it also seems there are not many vacancies left! Guess will just see how 2b goes!
I feel you should be monitoring very closely the stats at end of each day. If there is balloting within 1km, you won't even get a chance to ballot. no point wasting 2C.
If there is balloting 1-2km, there are likely to be very few seats available - eg could be 20 pp vying for 3 places that type; becos those within 1km will all get in, leaving whatever's left for 1-2km.
Then again, keep your hopes up - there's always a chance. Good luck! -

Even 1 km is a slim chance when you have higher applicants then the number of seats available. It lowers the probabilities of getting in using 1km.

phew...finally home from 2A2 registration, it took abt an hour...by the time i reach the school at abt 9am, there were about twenty people in front of me..
thks all for the reply.....just curious, for those who has registered, is the process a breeze? are there many forms to complete, etc how about waiting time?
here's how it goes, when you arrive at sch, the security guard will issue a Q. no and then you will be directed to a classroom for ur no. to be called. There are three stations altogether. First station, staff will verify child's BC, parents' IC and original PSLE cert..then he will issue a triplet form (an official sticker pasted on the first page with chop) where you have to complete the first page. After you've completed the form, proceed to station 2 where another staff will verify the information you've completed on the form with original documents. Then you proceed to station 3, where you submit the forms to a staff who will enter your particulars in the system. The staff will then detach one copy of the triplet forms (pink) for your safekeeping...THE END of the 2A2 registration agony.....
i've checked with the staff there, many say that phase 2A2 should be confirmed \"get in\" but i just curious dunno why at the bottom of the form there is a \"for official use\" portion which indicated the distance of applicant's address into within 1km, 1-2km and outside 2km...if phase 2A2 got to see distance then my address is definitely out of 2km.....i wonder why the need for that indication? :? btw, also saw some filming crew outside the school...hope i am not caught in the \"act\".......... :xedfingers: -
