As a pupil progresses in his/her academic pursuit, the importance of MT declines. Is never a subject of debate at pre university level. Anw, MOE has made it so easy for students to meet the uni's MT requirement ie a D7 for O-level HCL or a pass at H1 MTB.

      Very easy. No worries.
Definitely. At PSLE, CL takes up 25% of total weightage. By secondary school, it's just 1 of 7 subjects. And by Pre-U, you can even drop it if you manage to clear HCL at O levels.

So parents with kids weak in CL, do not despair. 😄
