yes, her top choice is SJIJ due to home distance, not HPPS. HPPS is 2nd choice.

No difference. As long as you register before closing time of that phase, all applicants registered will taken under that phase. You can check with the school periodically on the registration #s before you finally decide on which school to put in your application.

Hi all, i still a bit in decisive of which school to register for my son. :sad:


I m within 1km of Kong Hwa, 1-2km of Maha Bodhi n Geylang Methodist n Tanjong Katong Primary.
As we r PR so we only have 1 balloting chance.
Here is my analysis of the chances to get in the school base on balloting history.

1. Maha Bodhi - 0%
2. Kong Hwa - 40%
3. Geylang Methodist - 70%
4. Tanjong Katong - 90%

I really hope to get into Kong Hwa as it's very near my place and it's a very good school.
But m thinking izit wise to take a risk as they always ballot within 1km n i only have 1 chance.

Geylang Methodist always ballot for 1-2km also, but chances maybe higher judging from the balloting history.
I am keen in this school bcos there is affiliated Sec school and JC.
But it's a Christianity school while my family is not christian, do I need to concern abt this part?

Tanjong Katong seldom have ballot for 1-2km, so this is a rather safe choice. After all this is a good school also right?

I m in a dilemma now, would appreciate any advice.

I think what Fabbymum is trying to say is if one has secured a place in a school (e.g. before phase 2B), he/she will need to give up the place in that school first before he/she goes to try next phase in another school. Am I correct?

Yes. P2C is based on distance advantage of <1km, 1kim-2km and >2km. So if you still wish to go for it at P2C, it's best if you are <1km, if not and even if you are <1km, it's best to check past year balloting history to make an inform decision.
