In fact, we are considering Yuhua Pri, but it’s >2km away. Does anyone here has comments on Yuhua? Or anyone has Yuhua in your Plan B too?

Need help to clear my confusion. Let’s say if there are only 19 vacancies left for Phase 2C and there are 30 applied next Wednesday (July 27), 20 applied on Thursday (July 28) and 10 on Friday (July 29). Will that means the balloting of 19 vacancies will be available to the 60 applicants? Thanks.

Rulang called for a meeting with those PVs who stayed > 2km this morning. Tomorrow is another meeting with another group of PVs. I just came from that meeting. The message is very clear. If you are not within 1 km, you will be unsuccessful at both phase 2B and 2C. It is stressed that the priority is to register for a school within 1 km in phase 2C.

If the number continue to increase each year , will it reach a point where there will be no vacancies by 2A(2)?

The balloting will only be available for those who stay less than 1km - those outside 1km, school will usually advise you try for other choices......

So far this has never happened.. the closest was AT last year.. i think with 9 places for each Phase 2B and 2C..

There are many loopholes,
I think is time MOE need to look into this area, for child who has a sibling studying in the school of choice and a child whose parent is a former student of the school and eventually move house outside more than 1 km then scrap away their phase 1 and phase 2A(1) entitlement think this more fair to parents who stay within 1 km.

I saw quite a number of Rulang students staying out of 1km from the school and their sibling still can entitled for Phase 1 and those former students taking advantage also while they staying more than 2km , don’t you think that something is wrong in our system. I think our Ministry need to look into this matter seriously before matter get worse!

Doesn’t mean that if you are a Grassroots leader (RC member) can have the right to sudden pop in and register without giving any notice to school.


GRL need to declare to school one year in advance in order to let the school to plan for the PVs intake.

There is no such rule.. I believe the GRL have also done their share for the community and hence given the choice to register at school of their choice in the area.. it is said that the hours clocked by GRL are more than that of PV even though their contribution may not benefit the school directly..

I know all is stressed and some are understandably upset but let's not attack each other..

Thanks for the quick reply. So the school will wait for all the application until July 29 before they can do the balloting?
