      Castle House:

Why and what is it that you are not comfortable with?

      What about the standard?
The student cares aren't air-conditioned and nap time. It looks like a scaled down tuition centre but with care facilities. DD's CC are air-con , spacious enough for each level to have their own classroom. own bathrooms, well maintained.

The thought of additional homework from student care is daunting. If DD has CCA, I have to work out the transport arrangement between student care and school. School holiday also need to go student care since it is an on-going arrangement. during school holidays , prefer DDs to go for week long external enrichments or games instead of being confined in student care.

the only student centre which appealed to me was out of the box but they have no transport arrangement ...

      my 2 cents....

Student Care in NH @ $240 per mth:

        1) Not allowed to shower after class
        2) Lunch and Snacks catered from Canteen Operators
        3) In classroom most of the time, so must wear socks & shoe
        4) Playtime is only after 5pm

Student Care in DS's CC @ $350 per mth:
        1) Can shower
        2) Fully aircon
        3) Homecooked meal
        4) 1 hr to do homework (only)
        5) Playtime starts from 4pm (outdoor play, water play etc)

Both also got pros & cons. Which one would you recommend?

You already checked out EB's student care rate? I think most likely K1 will be home instead of going to BASC. I think he will miss his friends in cc.

i juz kpo ask teacher huileng for the brochure to compare. šŸ˜‰

imagine so much playtime, even waterplay. i think my DS will enjoy if send him there.

but likely send to my mum's place, FOC. need to cancel all his SCV cartoon channel if he dun do his hmwork first.

Errr.. thought when they are in Primary.. should have no nap le.. Mine has passed through the nap period.. he had not been taking his nap since this year onwards..

We did think of enrichment class.. but logistics will be an issue.. who is going to send him there.. and pick him up...

          Still thinking and considering..

Hi all, nice to meet u all here.. šŸ˜„

Happen to chance upon this thread while browsing around the forum abt pri school n P1 registration.
              I have a 6yo boy (Sep 2005) and a 2yo gal (July 2009).
M super stress now regards to the P1 registration also.
I stay ard paya lebar area n wanted to reg Kong Hwa as i m within 1km.
But they always ballot for this phase so m not too sure whether to take the risk or not.
My back up plan is Tanjong Katong Pri as i m 1-2km n there is no balloting for this phase judging from the past history.

Anybody registering for the same school? šŸ˜„

@NH any teachers / tutors for homework and revision? What's the menu like?

For CC, when the child is in P2, P3,....will the time for homework increase? Or during SA, CA period, will they increase hw / revision time? Since it's CC any tutors to help with hw/revision?

so far, 2 of my colleagues withdraw from student care that gives homework. the kids could not cope with hmwork from school, where got time for student care's one.
precisely.. school will have homework and more homework from student care..

prefer an environment where they can relax before going to school or relax after coming back from school....
