because you need to indicate what are the schools you DSA for when you sit for GAT, then they will send result to all schools you indicated in the test
It's not the same as last time already, \"verykiasu2010\". Now they require you to take GAT at all the schools. They don't share the results like previously. And RI/RGS different test done by their own school.

You mean both schools had the exact same 60 questions but one paper was 60min, the other 20min? How interesting.
NYGH GAT and RGS GAT cannot be exactly the same lah. Maybe similar, but I cannot imagine how they can be the same since the administering agency for the test is different?

I was just quoting Funx3. I find it odd too that if the two papers were administered by different agencies they would be exactly the same questions. And very different time allocation too.

may be the questions all looked similar because they are all patterns / pictorial and non-verbal, as is the nature of GAT. but the test could still be different

eg sequence of patterns after doing 30 questions all looked similar, turn left turn right, how many dots top right corner, bottom right corner, left side etc etc.....see stars liao, especially for RI / RGS -- got to do 60 questions in 20 minutes

That’s one revenue-generating machine! I wrote earlier that in 2008 I was called up two days before RI GAT asking my ds1 not to go down to take the GAT as he had already taken at HCI. But then, they never refunded me and the $50 paid had gone to…?

Let your child decide on what he wants to bring- something he has confidence and passion in so that should the interviewer ask any questions on it, he can impress them with his answers.

Thanks for e advice. So do u have any other advice for e kids?

Since the interview is conducted in group of 3, the child must be mentally prepared that the other 2 boys may be more chatty and more expressive than he is. Advise your child to stay calm and be himself. From what my son has shared with me last year, the interview was more like a casual talk unlike in HCI. They asked him how did he get to RI that day and how many times had he been to RI? GEP students with SA1 > 80% are highly likely to get a CO from RI. Not to worry too much and all the best to all :rahrah:

Admin fees - paying for the admin to look through your application, conduct interview... PLUS deter people from applying to too many schools when they're not serious about all of them.
