2011 P1 Registration Exercise for 2012 In-Take

even if given priority everyone will deny. no proof what....even if they didnt ask for it, the pp at the other end will definitely accommodate all the requests, maybe even also given all the good maids (or numerous exchange) without any fuss. but all these are hard to prove........

Do Ministers/MPs etc get priority in school registration? If so, which phase? Phase 2B? I can imagine that if they get priority registration they wouldn't be keen to rock the boat. If they have to go through balloting you can be sure there'll be some changes in policies.
The Ministers should already be old boys and girls of elite schools. If they are not, they will have their connections. Even Zoe Tay can become PV of NYPS when NYPS rejects many PV applicants. -

Not necessarily old boys/girls of elite primary schools. They may have gone to RI or ACS in secondary school but it's your primary school that counts in registration.jtoh:

not only Zoe Tay, but other TV mediacorp artistes who PV for Nanyang or other popular schools also get it, when other ordinary PVs rejected.

VVIP can always contribute to the schools and get priority…
School Advisory/Management Committee
Serves in an advisory and voluntary capacity to support school programmes, functions and activities
Offers sponsorship and helps the school raise funds for developmental, infrastructural and enrichment activities to benefit students and staff
Provides links and encourages networking between the school on the one hand and the community, industry and parents on the other for mutual benefit and quality education
Acts as role model of active citizenship for students
Provides moral support and encouragement to the Principal and staff
Phase 2A(1)
For a child whose parent is a member of the School Advisory / Management Committee -
With all the kiasu strategies taken by parents to register in an earlier phase then pull out and register at a later phase (for a more popular school), I think there’ll come a time when schools will impose an admin fee for withdrawal from schools.
-
even if impose admin fee, dun think these parents will mind … if they believe that the new school they try very hard to get into is a better school.
-
admin fee will not deter ks parents... should require a valid reason for withdrawal... frivolous reasons aka excuses should not be entertained... afterall how can one change one's mind within a week or 2 :scratchhead:

They aren't changing their minds. It's all part of the kiasu strategy to secure a place at every stage.
True, admin fees won't deter the parents. But all this withdrawal does create a hassle for the admin staff having to deal with all these parents. -
but it may deprive someone of a spot
