Hi, thanks for the prompt reply - took a quick look at their website and decided not to subject him to such additional training. Thanks again šŸ™‚

btw if ur kids run out of nmos materials to try , can try the smops. Apparently the difficulty of nmos is approaching smops. šŸ™‚

Thanks.....think I'll leave it for next year šŸ™‚
My son only managed to try out 2006 & 2007. Both only managed 15q correct out of the 20q. So that's probably where he is ..... anyway not enough time too. No point pushing now .... can mean can, cannot means still cannot :boogie: Whatever it is, I have promised him his Terriyaki Chicken rice - his request for getting in special round šŸ˜‰

agree, no point pushing. My DS only managed to complete 2010 & 2008 paper. Nw into 2009, but don't think he can finish it.. Just told him this morning to try his best can liao.... oooppsss... I've yet to think of what to reward him... & he hs yet to ask for reward too!!!!

as long we had do our part and he has try his best , that is enough .
Reward will be a nice meal at his choice , my ds enjoy food very much.

If your dd is very good in swimming, it's an easier path in to DSA. Swimmers who consistently get medals at Nationals get spotted by the DSA school coaches way before the DSA process. The parents are approached and their chances of CO are VERY high.

Conversely, there are hundreds of math whiz in Singapore vying for DSA places. It used to be that a Platinum or Gold would stand you in good stead. Now that's no longer a guarantee.
Thanks Pen88 and jtoh for your replies. Was out of town the past few days.

Yes, i think it is easier for my dd to get gold or silver for the National Interschool Swimming than for NMOS. She got 2 golds for individual events last year. But I don't think we will use swimming for DSA next year either. I prefer that she gets in through academic. She's in GEP.

wow, GEP & sports talent! This is incredible. Read in DSA thread that GEP girls seems to have higher chance getting into RGS & NYGH. Your girl should have no prob esp she has extra talent! Think they'll grab her. šŸ˜„

That's fantastic. Your dd sounds very talented. During your DSA application through GEP domain, you can highlight her sports achievements. That'll stand you in even stronger stead for a confirmed offer.
