Wow, am glad to find a Hong Wen thread here.
Hi pq050603, I am also planning to enrol my girl at Hongwen pri in few years time too.
I am also worried like you, as Hong Wen doesnt have any affliated sec sch, another problem yet again.
BUt among the 3 schs at Boon Keng, I think top is still Hong wen lor. I wont prefer her to go Bendemeer Pri, even though is just next to my parents place where i used to live at. -

9.00am : Went into the school hall, and see tons of parents. Signed in beside DS name and sit down.
9.05am : Principal gave speech. Principal informed that there is a pair of twins, and if they are successful in balloting, they will take up 2 places...
9.15am : Parents took the name slips and passed to teachers-in-charge to be folder and placed into transparent fishbowl.
9.20am : Balloting starts......
9.25am : ...Ng Jordan... !!! Yeah!! (One of the longest 5 mins for me.. :p)

All my girl's K2 classmates got in. One of them was the last name called ! Can you imagine how relief the boy's parents must have felt !
Ryes, it's good for you if you can start PV 2 yrs before enrolment, so you don't have to experience all these anxiety... -
ChiefKiasu:
Thanks ChiefKiasu... yes the road is still a long way ahead.. am already preparing my girl for P1 since last year. She has been attending Kumon and I can see quite a lot of improvement in her maths and english.
