Kids wanted to watch Harry Potter, so if not now, when else right? So took the opportunity to declare a half-day break  πŸ˜‰

Now the supplementary class and remedial total taken up 4 days a week! Think if nearer to Sept may be 5 days can also happen!!! :scared:

πŸ˜“ πŸ˜“ :yikes: Maybe by then I will write excuse letter to reduce stress

Mary has $78 and Andy has $81. Can be easily solved by drawing a model.

5 weeks to Prelims and 10 weeks to PSLE. Try a few good maths questions regularly to maintain the edge in PSLE Maths.

        Try this P5/P6 Maths Question.
Mary and Andy have some money left in their cash card. If Mary spends $2 each day and Andy spends $3 each day, Mary would have $24 left after Andy had finished using all his money. If Andy spends $2 each day and Mary spends $3 each day, Andy would have $29 left after Mary had finished spending all her money. Find the money each of them have in their cash card.

        Hi James

        Thank you for sharing.

We come across questions like above but usually would be the same person left with nothing instead of both left with some amount each.
(may be for our case only)

Is the amount left for Andy: $87 and Mary: $72 ?

Appreciate you to share with us the best method to solve the above question.

        Thank you. :please:

Actually, for the kids' own good, they should ensure they have a decent Chinese standard with the future being China becoming a strong power in world economy. Singapore's Chinese standard is not high (compared with China, Taiwan, HK, Malaysia, etc.) With China nationals picking up English quickly, our bilingualism advantage will be gone in no time if we do not maintain. Even the Westerners are looking towards the East. That's even more reason for us to engage our kids in improving their Chinese.
Yes it's true. Even RV principal also encourages the students to take bicul, he also cited China's rising power.

Are the past years PSLE papers ( bought in popular) any gauge of how well your child will do in the actual exams? Questions seem much easier thanpast schoolexam papers?

The past yr psle papers are not a complete set of qn, only selected qns are given to students to practise. Some qns will not be released to the public, these qns may be reused again.

1 month left to Prelims and 2 months left to PSLE, all the best to P6 students doing PSLE 2011. πŸ™‚
