Markfch, yes I'm going for KC which is ok la. Cannot put myself through the anguish of a ballot!!celadoncatz:
Sniff sniff, I no chance liao
It's been nice to be in the PHPP family for just a short time.. I must now join another family :gloomy:
All is not lost. As of today, heard that there were 25 P2B (<= 2km). Looks like the other 32 P2B (>2km) are going to ballot for the remaIning 19 seats.
Anyway, should you decide to go for KC, you'll still be within the presbyterian family. Personally I find that good school effect is nearly always over-rated and parents influence is always under-rated.
As long as the sch is an ok-type (not gangster sch), and with our regular guidance, our kids can still shoot for the stars at PSLE. All the best whatever decision and outcome you made.
Thanks to all once again for the advice and support and good luck to those who have applied! -
Thanks Thanks. This whole process is really terrible. I have been having sleepless nights for months. Expected them to reduce class no. even before it was officially announced.

How many of us here will be registering under Phase 2C? I am one of them.
XYZ1 has a more scary story to tell than yours, Scary.
Was it the story that you had told me? Or something else? Bro Mark has such deep impression that he remembers till now. Can share? I dun want to read 1200+ pages.
Sigh. . .we could have been under 2B if not for DH. I am really upset with him. Maybe God's plan to put me through all these.
you must hear her story, it will give you some encouragement....everything is not over yet, so just stay cool..... -

You made a wise choice. I would have come to the same conclusion if I were in your shoes. Conventional wisdom in KSP says that it's better to settle for a concrete offer rather than depend on the luck of the dice.

Scary..yes it was same story that i pm u....Mark knows as i'm a good fren of his sista..so he knows exactly what we went thru last year...By the way i did not go for the P2C balloting..and was having a meeting when my husband called with the bad news...so my colleague literally saw my face turned blue, then white and followed by black for the rest of that fateful day last year.... :rotflmao:

XYZ1,
I told Hubby that maybe I should go for the balloting. Reason being if I don't go and freak out upon receiving the news, my maid will panick. She is new and definitely won't know what to do. If I attend and freak out, at least the school knows how to handle the situation. Can't rely on Hubby as he is out of town and relies on me to handle everything. So in this case, attending balloting maybe better for me.
Bro Mark,
Hubby is church member. Despite me asking him to be more active, he still lalalala.. .. Also in actual fact, we didn't know that it's so tough to get the endorsement. I have been the active one but I am not member and my service period doesn't qualify me. -

The torture of having to go for ballot is too much for ME !! I'm staying out of 1km for MGS and definitely have no chance to even ballot...which is why I took up a concrete offer of P2A2 last year.

Thanks to all once again for the advice and support and good luck to those who have applied!
We do have an option to go KCP too. I have friends who asked me to register my son there so as not to put myself through the anguish of balloting. Problem is it's too far.
I believe in what Bro Mark said, i.e. with our regular guidance, our kids can still shoot for the stars at PSLE. -

Yeah! I would have done the same if I were in your shoes, celadoncatz. God bless you and all the best!
