What do they do during the excursion?junemum72:
For those whose kids in K2 in MFS, do you know when will they arrange excursion to Primary school?
Most of the other private schools I heard already done that even PCF. -

Hi, may i know where is Global kids at mountbatten? There are a couple of premium ones along the tanjong katong stretch and I always get confused.
May i know how much is the school fees?
It's at Mountbatten Road & Crescent Road. Just search for Global Kids in the MCYS childcare directory, you'll have all the info there (This was how I found them). There is only 1 Global Kids in SG.
Yes, Mountbatten/Katong area has a lot of \"premium\" childcares that also charge \"premium\" rates. Whether services are also premium is not for me to comment, since I only consider the less premium ones (in terms of pricing at least) when I was looking. I personally don't believe in paying till I bleed for that few years of childcare/kindergarten for silly things like fully air-conditioned environment & very low teacher:student ratio or even enrichment programs. -
My boy is in My First Skool. I was told by the Principal that there is no spelling in K1 and K2. They deem this is only important when children start their primary school.
But i see that all other pre-school has spelling which parents are very nervous about it.
What do mummies here feel about this issue? -
hi shirley,
i ever asked my DD (nursery) english teacher before on spelling thingy,. she said spelling is not enforce in the class as spelling is not a good method to teach a language, as from their research, students who are good in spelling may not know how to use the words in sentences. thus, they enforce english literacy ( reading ).
Im fine with that actually. -
another thing to share abt MFS. recently, there were chicken pox outbreak at my DD Childcare. parents are informed that all enrichment classes are cancelled for July. and fees will be refunded for the month of July. i think only MFS can do that. usually, if there is such outbreak, parents still continue to pay for enrichment classes and child may be sick and cannot attend too… at least they are considerate and help parents save 1 mth of enrichment classes fees which is 100 over (3 classes a week)

Which centre your DD CC is? The cancellation is more than 1 month? As I know, if they cancel one class, they will replace with another one, no refund of fees. -

CV3 at sengkang. initially, the enrichment classes are being \"postponed\" for 2 weeks. then i think either the teacher or principle took the initiative to cancel the enrichment classes for the entire month instead, as it's hard to make-up classes if it's too many weeks. 2 weeks means they need to cater for 6 days of make-up classes.. as each weeks there are 3 different enrichment classes, kindermusic, apple pie & kidsIQ.micollh:

Dun think others will be as thoughtful as yours. Lucky you !!junemum72:

my DD is learning to read now, picking up. The literacy is not meant to spell. it's for them to recognise words and then know how to use the words in sentences.
