can anyone share with me if HIPS is a stressful school?

I mean I really want my kids to be happy studying in a conducive environment. My colleague just shared with me that her son is in P1 in a very famous boys’ school, and he cannot cope and detest going to school now…

Wanted to find out - in case of any balloting needed, does it mean it will be also on the same day as the annoucement? How does it goes?

Hi Drummer, I hope I have got this right...

from what's happening with P2B, the balloting will most likely be done on 5th aug (same day as announcement of P2C results) The school will inform the parents involved of the balloting time and parents can be present to witness the conduct of the balloting.

which school has a better chance of getting in, say if balloting is needed?

Holy Innocent’s (I stay within 1 km) or Hougang Primary (I stay 1-2km)?

Base on history, since you stay within 1KM from HIPS, you should be invovled in the balloting. For HPS, you dun even get to put your name into the draw (history says every year ballot for <1Km), you are too far.

Thanks so much for the advice HIPS currently has 56 vacancies but HPS has close to 100 vacancies if I am not wrong ..

Where can I find out the estimated number of applications for HIPS for 2C based on within 1km n 1-2km for the last few years. Looking at the grossly oversubscribed situations in many schools, I can't help but worry.

ya... going for HIPS cos I have one boy and two gals, so I must choose a co-ed school. Also, HIPS is the nearest school to my place, walking distance, and that is the most important factor. I don't want my kids to travel too far everyday ... but I am very scared of balloting
