Scary, CMI is Cannot Make It.

PH should just take away the place from the parent who complained. It goes against the spirit of volunteering!

To quote wikipedia, "volunteering is the practice of people working on behalf of others or a particular cause without payment for their time and services."

We Went for the SOTA Symposium in March ....
BTW did you try for SOTA as well?Funx3:
Bro Mark, Must Clarify ....
Those Gals R National Champs!
Coz in the RG Arena, The Gals Compete in different Skill Level / stages.
My Gal is Competing in a Different Level from the National Team Gals last year, She's in Level 2 and they R in Stage 2 (Elite Level) ....
and this year Spore Open in June as Well, My Gal competes in Level 3, And they R in Stage 3 (Elite Level) ....
So Coming in Champ for Level is Still Not as Good as them in Stage Level (Skill wise
) ....
I'm Just Keeping My :xedfingers: that My Gal's Sch Results + RG Achievement will give her a good Fighting Chance to be consider Good Enuf for a CO ....

My Gal Does Not Like the Long Hours Spent during Hols, and Evening Classes and the Pro-Ballet Syllabus, So She Does Not Apply to SOTA.

Although there is no guarantee at P2B, schools should try to absorb PVs since they have served them. Problem is schools like PH, the principal has no idea how many parents will register under churches/clans. However roughly based on experience and to ensure all PVs shoo in, a safe bet would be 20 ?Anyone knows how many PVs >2km did not get into PH? Umm...why did PH take in so many PVs this yr vs last yr? Thought last yr only 20+? They should have learnt the lesson from last year in recruiting less PVs, and also taking into accounts the church members from 38 churches and GRL. Or the school purposely did that to show it's popularity?
Understand that some mission schools do not have PVs as they are aware that many church members will register, e.g SJI Junior and MGS.
Mission schools do not take in PVs for registration purpose...MGS, SJI & CHIJ for eg have their hands full with church members. However, parents are invited to be PVs when their kids are successfully registered. -

Agree, i don think parents shld complain when they themselves accepted e terms n risks. They can just go to another school which is more in line w their expectations. I'm sure the sch handles alot of letters for pv, its not easy for them to accept some n not others. I know of some super persistent parents, not ez to handle -
Lots of presbyterian churches but not many presbyterian schools
super difficult to predict i'm sure -

Janet, I also think 20 will be safe. However, seems that the school has been taking in around 30 or more. Church members have stabilised at around 30+ over the years. The P knows how many church members will register in Mar every year and she can warn the PVs again using this info. The surprise that PH get is only from the GRL on registration day, unlike the rest of the mission schools.

It's not easy for Presbyterian church members to get the endorsement, unlike other denominations. They have to serve the church and some have even served for years. Know of one whose DD did not get in but am glad that she will continue to serve in the Sunday School without complaint. -

Yup...I was told by former principal that she only knows the numbers of GRL on actual registration day. Since there is NO guarantee at 2B, all the more the number of PVs should be controlled.Janet, I also think 20 will be safe. However, seems that the school has been taking in around 30 or more. Daughter is in another mission school which doesn't accept PVs for 2B...so those who register in that phase are all Catholics. Can you imagine what will happen if this applies to Pei Hwa ?
