The sch is really in a difficult position, simply can’t please all parents. Heard there are very persistent parents who keep asking to be reconsidered even tho’ they are rejected initially.

yes, and they were asked to clock in 100 hrs, willingly accepted the offer, got their kids in and then finally released arrows....this reference only to some PVs...

If the parent really felt so strongly that she had to go to the press… why didn’t she do so BEFORE the registration process?

I think the parents also have to know that their hours of PV is to help them qualify for phase 2b, they still have the chance to apply for another school at phase 2c… if they did not get accepted for PV, they only qualify for 2C, so it’s not fair to say that it’s a wasted effort… Many of these parents would have appealed etc to get the chance for PV, they went in with their eyes open…

Volunteering in Singapore is no longer from the heart… the adults do it based on the assumption of ‘guaranteed’ entry for their children… and the children do it for CIP hours… it’s quite sad actually…

It's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. There's just no pleasing everyone. The moment we encourage the notion that PVs should have guaranteed places, we go down the slippery road of no return.
hehe.. recently I was told, if u want a guaranteed place in Phase 2b or 2c, the only way is to visit the principal with a cheque book... dunno if this applies to Pei Hwa though... :censored:

Cheque book? Got cheque book but no money here. Jim Rogers donated 6 figures to NYPS if not wrong and also to qualify for phase 2B as PV.

Maybe the school should be persistent in rejecting too, so as not to disappoint the parents at a later stage with mugs throwing at them.

Sorry to say this, but what the hell ? Clocked 100 hours, after getting kids in and then shot arrows ? Ridiculous !!! I'm making this reference to the ungrateful PVs. Shoot arrows if you wish, I won't duck. There are many reasonable parents here who are able to tell right from wrong.
