You also learnt from Mr. Thum?
Do you happen to be from PLMGS?
Hi!
Glad to receive your reply!
Yes, I learnt from Mr Thum from Secondary one. I had private lessons at Artstratosphere since then and just stopped my lessons at the start of the year. I am not from PLMGS. I'm from Xinmin Secondary School. Hope to hear from you.
Cheers!

Hi,
I know it wont be fair for me to say which is easier to learn since I've never tried yangqing before, so cant make a comparison... I think both instruments should be easy enough. One of my student is even a five year old, so no worries, at least I can tell you guzheng is easy, even a five year old can understand this traditional instrument^^
cheers

for K2 kid, where to learn yang qin ? apparently cc only conduct guzheng, not yang qin.

I am not sure whether the yangqin is a suitable instrument for kids to learn to play as a first musical instrument. There are lots of strings (144!) to maintain and unless you are very musically inclined and do not mind tuning the strings on a regular basis. You will need to tune the guzheng strings too but I guess 21 strings will be a lot less hassle!
