Yes, NLB has pretty good stock of books. But chinese books for my kids level are fairly limited and in some cases very loved (aka yucky), so will still resort to buying - esp at DD prices. plus, I like to have full sets. And plus we go through chinese books V.E.R.Y… slowly, I don’t think the 3 weeks are enough.

The DEAR (drop everything and read) program is very good, only problem is that many books may be out on loan - end up the shelves fairly empty.

Quite true. I paid the reservation fees for 4 books of 三国演义 and manage to gather the other 16 books from a few library!

We renew to extend for more time.

Anyway, important is the kid likes the books regardless of from NLB or dangdang. :celebrate:

Happiness is…when I come home to find a sack from china post at home. I got my dangdang loot, the one whose package I could not find in the mail tracker website.


Will have faith that the next batch will arrive safely.

Saw some mummies talking abt the tracking number from dangdang where they can track their loot. Where did they get this number? I was not given a tracking number. Appreciate your advise.

you can get the tracking number from the \"我的订单\" section.


If not you can request to dangdang to give you the tracking number then by dropping them an email at [email protected]. Remember to give them your 订单号 then they can advise promptly.

For the latest 2 orders I placed (early June), the numbers DD gave me could not be tracked. But one order arrived safely (less than 8 weeks) and I'm crossing my fingers and praying that the other also come intact.

The tracking number is in your order.. but if your just placed your order, it is not reflected.. it is reflected after 2-3 weeks after placing order.

Thks for all the advises! I have email them 2days ago to enquire on the tracking no. Got their reply today and had check up on the status. Parcels had reached Guangzhou already. Seems like I need to wait for another 6/7 sweet weeks b4 it reaches me… Haiz… Long wait, but still excited to see my loots once arrived. Cheers to all the great mummies who have gone through this waiting process!!

My on line orders, one on 14 May and the other on 31 May also still yet to recd!

Status show:
Order on 14/5, the status - at transit office of exchange as at 1/6
Order on 31/5, the status - departure from outward office of exchange as at 14/6

Think by the time I recd may be PSLE just over!
