Primary One School Orientation

Parents normally watch other students performance. Whilst their children will go to the classroom led by the teachers. Some school do conduct small test too. :scared:LittlePrinz:
What do we normally do during orientation? Looks like parents are excited. Not just children
Generally, kids get to see the school, their teacher and classmates.
Parents get to listen to speech, know a little more about what to expect and also drain our wallets
(buying books and uniform)

Yup, ours lasted approx 3 hours.. and normally the schools are kind enough to have them on a Saturday

Yup, DD1 got her name tag with Class and got to know the FT and her classmates.
Will we know the class that our kid will be in and the Form Teacher of the class as well on that day?
The girl that was sitting beside her during her Orientation Day is now her BFF. :rahrah: -

As for buying books and uniforms, some schools practice e-ordering...no mad rush/crowd on orientation day. Parents can choose which day to buy the essentials. Better to order and pay online, then collect the books another day. -
